Friday we had a nice short cruise to Stuart Florida. We got settled in and went for dinner with our friends from Last Chance. Saturday we made plans for our trip to Jacksonville with the goal of arriving on Saturday the 18th and driving up to Nashville on Sunday. We relaxed some on the boat, walked around town a bit. Preston ( a fellow Traverse City boat owner) came and picked us up and took us to West Marine and the Grocery store. We planned and prepped for the Sunday Farmers Market and the Supper Bowl Party here at the marina.
ALL that changed at 8am with a call from Kailey. The Granddaughter has been born! Martha packed her clothes while I researched transportation to Nashville. By 11:00am Martha was in a rental car and on her way. I spent the rest of the afternoon prepping the boat for a singlehanded journey to Jacksonville and undoing all the reservations we had made and making new ones for longer travel days and less site seeing. I should be there Thursday and driving to Nashville by Friday.
